Where Are The Angels?

Words and Music by Jill Zutty

Where are the angels-the ones that watch me sleep?
Where are the angels-Have they heard me weep?
I cry late at night-tears fall from my eyes
I don't dare to dream-cause you would hear me scream
Everybody has their own guardian angel and I have mine
They watch you through your days and through your nights
They try and keep you safe and guide your path
They try to shield you from sadness-but it won't last
Where are the angels when you're going wrong?
Sometimes they disappear-they want me to be strong
I try hard to fight-the demons in my mind
But I can't deny-that life's not always kind
Everybody has their own guardian angel and I have mine
They watch you through your days and through your nights
They try and keep you safe and guide your path
They try to shield you from sadness-but it won't last
But where are your angels- when you need them most?
What do you look for-an image like a ghost?
Perhaps they're more life-like than you may well think
Your best friend or soul mate-can get you back in sync
Everybody has their own guardian angel and I have mine
They watch you through your days and through your nights
They try and keep you safe and guide your path
They try to shield you from sadness- but it won't last
But it won't last, but it won¹t last, but it won't last....
